I’m excited to share with you all In a State of Limbo, a group-exhibition featuring a curation of wonderful artworks’ by Georgie North, Tinieka Page and Alice Ramsden. Opening to the public from 3-6pm on Saturday the 2nd of September, 2023 - Located upstairs, in the main gallery at Castlemaine Contemporary Art Space (CASPA), Castlemaine.

In a State of Limbo is a group-show bringing together three emerging artists working broadly in the field of non-objective painting. Grounding their practices is an interest in materiality and experimental processes, where each artist considers new ways to articulate the basic principles of form, shape, line, texture and colour within a realm of infinite possibilities.

Centring the idea of gesture as an extension of the body, the show continues an ongoing conversation within historical and contemporary art discourse by highlighting ways in which these three practitioners are currently navigating and adding to Abstraction in Australia.
